Policies and Procedures

Textbook Policy

Students with pre-approved special needs (IEP, 504 plan, temporary or permanent disabilities, home-bound, etc.) are allowed have more than one copy of a textbook checked out for their use.

Otherwise, students wishing to check out additional textbooks because they "think" or know they have lost it (or left it at home), are required to pay for the "lost" textbook (in the WHS Office) and show a receipt of that payment to the library staff prior to receiving another textbook (see Replacement Cost of Books for prices).

When student/parents pay for the lost textbook, the book will be set as "LOST" in the online circulation system with a message attached to the material that indicates:  who paid for the book, date of payment, and amount paid.

If/when the text is returned, the district office will be notified, and a refund check will be issued to the student or their parent/guardian.
