The lab is designed to accommodate student projects of all kinds - from specific class-assigned multimedia projects to individuals choosing to do a project for a class assignment option.

A sign-up notebook is located just inside the room - divided into 45 minute segments of time beginning at 7:30 am.  Passes can be signed for PLC Fridays beginning at 8:00 am!

Software available for use includes:
  • Microsoft MovieMaker3
  • Microsoft Producer for PowerPoint
  • Microsoft PhotoStory
  • Adobe Elements (a mini PhotoShop)
  • OpenOffice Suite (including Draw - PhotoShop compatible)
  • Microsoft Office (with Publisher)
Equipment available for check-out includes:
  • 5 Handicams with tripods (two use DVD+/-RW discs or memory card, three use 8mm tape)
  • 5 Mivica still cameras (use 3, 3/4" floppy disks, available from Circulation Desk)

Editing Equipment includes:
  • Scanner (graphics can be scanned and saved to the computer)
  • Headphones with attached mic for voice-over recording

I am available to come to your classroom and do a quick PowerPoint presentation explaining elements of the lab to your students.
